Fostering a dog

The work we do with stray dogs:

Since 2021 we have worked with the dog wardens to try to find rescue places for the unclaimed or surrendered dogs but there is a need to do more including the provision of emergency accommodation in an appropriate boarding kennel or a foster homes especially for the large “bull breeds“ which are the most difficult to place.

Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary currently funds a kennel space at a private good quality boarding kennels which is available for any dog whom is struggling to find a rescue space elsewhere in other rescues. This allows us to be the much needed stepping stone and give the most overlooked pound dogs the opportunity for the second chance they deserve. The dogs stay at the kennels until a suitable foster home is found and then the kennel space can be offered to the next dog in need.

As we are unable to complete full assessments on the dogs whilst they are in kennels we do require that our foster homes are pet free, child free and have experience with dogs.

If you are interested in fostering one of our dogs then please fill out our dog foster enquiry form:
